Equinox Strategy Partners announced today it has bolstered its service offering to professional services firms on the East Coast with the addition of Partner Greg Wildes, a Harvard graduate with more than two decades of experience in business development and sales.
“Greg’s experience will be a tremendous value add for our clients located on the East Coast,” said Jonathan R. Fitzgarrald, Managing Partner of Equinox Strategy Partners. “His sales background and experience working alongside professional services firms is the ideal combination for advising professionals on how to turn contacts into clients.”
Although Equinox Strategy Partners already works with law, accounting and business management firms across the country – conducting business development coaching and training programs, workshops and retreats—the addition of Wildes provides a local contact to meet the growing demand for the firm’s services in the Greater New York area.
Fitzgarrald added that, more so than ever, savvy service professionals are edging out their competition not by having a better pedigree but by creating a reputation and a draw for their services. “Long gone are the days where one’s reputation alone for being an excellent practitioner will keep the phone ringing. Today, successful professionals with growing practices are augmenting their skillset with client development and service skills.”
“The sales process can be daunting for most service professionals,” said Wildes, a Massapequa Park resident with a Bachelor of Economics from Harvard University, where he played on the basketball team. “The skills achieved mastering one’s profession are often different than those skills needed to develop clients. Our coaching and training programs match a professional’s client development skillset with their expertise skillset.”
Before A&C, Wildes was Senior Vice President at Maples Fund Services (a subsidiary of Maples and Calder), where he focused on client solutions and relationship management.
